Windyne’s patented Flip and Slide™ aerodynamic trailer side skirts are the only fairings that telescope to allow the fairings to slide horizontally with the tandem wheels resulting in maximum aerodynamic coverage during all vehicle load positions.
Telescoping Slide Feature
Innovative planning and design enable Flip and Slide™ fairings to adjust automatically to compensate for all vehicle load and wheel positions allowing the driver to maintain load balance and make necessary adjustments without additional work or having to worry about adjusting the trailer fairings.
Fixed Fairings Provide Partial Coverage
By comparison, fixed fairings are bolted to the frame of the trailer and therefore cannot adjust resulting in a large gap in coverage when in unoptimized load positions. This directly translates to a loss of fuel savings, increased emissions and increased safety hazard as the gap allows access to the undercarriage and rear wheels.
